Recent leaks tip a Feb. 25 Unpacked ahead of a March 11 launch. Based on our experience, here’s what we think we’ll see at Unpacked.
The Samsung Galaxy S series generates more buzz than any other Android device, and interest in these phones peaks as their usual launch date approaches. Below, we take a look at all the notable Galaxy S26 rumors we have heard so far, covering their release date, design, AI features, performance, cameras, pricing, and more. These leaks are from well-known sources, but nothing is confirmed until Samsung takes the stage at its next Unpacked event. When Will Samsung Launch the Galaxy S26 Series?
Samsung usually unveils the Galaxy S series in late January or early February, but this year, rumors point to a slightly delayed timeline. Multiple leakers have suggested a Feb. 25, 2026, launch in San Francisco. The latest to back that date is Ice Universe, who added that Samsung will take preorders from Feb. 26 to March 4 ahead of a March 11 launch.Galaxy S26 Lineup: Plus Survives, Edge Doesn’t
Samsung currently offers five phones with the S25 tag: the regular S25, the S25 Plus, the S25 Ultra, the slimmer S25 Edge, and the more affordable S25 FE (Fan Edition). But for the S26 series, things could shake up a bit. Samsung may release just three phones at first, and follow it up with an FE model later.
Earlier reports suggested that the Plus variant wasn’t among the preferred three. However, poor performance of the Edge reportedly forced Samsung to cancel the slim phone and retain the Plus model. A separate report also claimed that Edge may never return.
More recently, leakers provided a first look at the S26 Plus. Android Headlines tips « a flat display, thin uniform bezels, [and] a triple camera setup on the back. » The biggest difference is a three-camera, vertical island in the top-left corner.
Another rumor suggested that the base variant would get rebranded as the S26 Pro, but that appears to be bogus.Galaxy S26 Design: Imitating Apple?
Apple introduced new, rectangular camera bumps on the iPhone 17, and renders of the Galaxy S26 lineup suggest Samsung is moving in the same direction.
According to multiple leakers, the base S26 will have a vertical bump with three cameras; the S26 Edge will have a huge, end-to-end horizontal bump like on the iPhone 17 Pro Max and come with two cameras; and the S26 Ultra will have three cameras in the vertical bump, and one to its right. However, the S26 Ultra’s camera bump reportedly protrudes a bit more than expected and could make the device wobble when placed on a flat surface.
Earlier, it was reported that Samsung would adopt Apple’s cosmic orange color for the S26 Ultra. Black shadow, white shadow, galactic blue, and ultraviolet (or purple) are some of the other colors reported by Ice Universe. The leaker recently backed the four colors with photos of the SIM trays. Notably, the color names are no longer preceded by « Titanium », suggesting Samsung may switch from titanium to aluminum for the chassis.
One of the variants, white shadow, appeared in a leak this week.
