The recent rumour comes in the form of a press render of the alleged Galaxy Tab A 8.0. As per the leaked image, the upcoming Galaxy tablet will come with a slightly curved glass on the front and narrow bezels resulting in a relatively compact form factor. The most noticeable design change is the removal of the physical Home button.
The rumour mill has been buzzing for a while now about Samsung launching its next Note series smartphone likely to be called Galaxy Note 9. The flagship phablet will be launched at the company’s Unpacked Event scheduled for August 9 in New York. If the recent rumours are true, Samsung may unveil its budget tablet, dubbed as Galaxy Tab A 8.0, on the same day.

As per the leaked image, the upcoming Galaxy tablet will come with a slightly curved glass on the front and narrow bezels resulting in a relatively compact form factor. The most noticeable design change is the removal of the physical Home button.
The leaked image also suggests that the single camera module at the rear along with the Samsung logo. The renders further show that the tablet will not have a fingerprint scanner. We hope that Samsung adds the face unlock feature using the front camera.
On the right side of the leaked image is the power button, volume rocker and a microSD card slot for expandable storage.
The homescreen of the alleged press render of the tablet shows the date as August 9, which indicates at the likely launch of the tablet along with the other Samsung devices.
According to previous rumours, the Galaxy Tab 8.0 is also said to come with the company’s own virtual assistant Bixby.
On a related note, Samsung might also launch its Tab S4 at the August 9 event.
The Tab S4 packs a 10.5 inch Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1600 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. The tablet is also said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
