In yet another instance of mob lynching, A 28-year-old man was allegedly lynched by a group of people on suspicion that he was smuggling cows in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
The villagers had spotted the two men allegedly trying to transport Cows and began to beat them without seeking an explanation about their deeds and one of them died on the spot. The victim is identified as Akbar Khan, was a resident of the Ferozepur Jhirka region in neighboring Haryana.
After the news of this incident came to light, The Chief Minister of Haryana Vasundhara Raje tweeted to condemn the incident. “The strictest possible action shall be taken against the perpetrators,” CM said.
In April last year, Pehlu Khan, a 55-year-old man, died of injuries he sustained during an attack by a group of cow vigilantes in the same district. Police registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code against unidentified persons.
