The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to launch on August 9. The phablet is a successor of the Galaxy Note 8, which is rumoured to come with several incremental upgrades
“The Galaxy Note 9 is slated to launch globally on August 9th, shortly after that in India”
In about a fortnight’s time, Samsung will unleash its Galaxy Note 9 alongside the rumoured Galaxy Tab 8.0 tablet and Galaxy Watch. All eyes will be on the next-gen phablet, which could likely feature in multiple colour options. Notable leakster Evan Blass, today, shared renders of the purported Note 9 device, revealing it to be in blue, black and brown shades.
The leak further corroborates the design of the Galaxy Note 9 with what we have already seen on the previous renders. From the front, the handset seems to look exactly like its predecessor, the Note 8 ( review). The rear panel of the device can be seen with horizontally-stacked dual-rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor just below it. The volume rocker and power button are present on the left edge, and on the right spine, there’s a Bixby button.
According to the earlier leaks, the Galaxy Note 9 will come with a 6.4-inch 18.5:9 aspect ratio Infinity QHD+ display. The SD 845/ Exynos 9810 mobile chipset will be ticking at the heart of the smartphone. The processor is tipped to be aided by 6GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB/ 256GB storage variants. For shutterbugs, the Note 9 is expected to feature a pair of 12MP shooters on the rear panel with the variable dual aperture of f/1.5 and f/2.4 apertures, respectively. Other rumoured specs include a beefy 4,000mAh battery and advanced S-Pen stylus.
As reported by us, the Galaxy Note 9’s India launch could be held between August 12th and August 16th. There is no word on the pricing of the Galaxy Note 9 by Samsung but we wouldn’t have to wait for long. We will bring you more info on August 9th when the smartphone goes official.
