“The Galaxy Note 9 to have 512GB of internal storage, and a long-lasting battery”
Call it a blunder, a mishap, or a marketing tactic, but Samsung shared an official video of its next flagship smartphone – the Galaxy Note 9 – today. The short video which seems to be an intro clipping for the launch event shows the handset in Blue colour and the new S-Pen in all its glory. Samsung has taken down the video, but it’s all over YouTube now.
The video corroborates the design of the Note 9, which we have seen in leaks and rumours in the past. It is official that the smartphone will come with an Infinity display up front and dual cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Moreover, the Note 9 will not miss out on the 3.5mm headphone jack, which is present on the bottom edge along with the USB Type-C port, speaker grill, and S-Pen pocket. The right spine of the handset has the Bixby button whereas the left one has the power button and volume buttons.
In addition, the video throws some weight on few features of the Galaxy Note 9 like 512GB onboard storage, which is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card, and a ‘long lasting battery’. The S-Pen is in a yellow/ golden shade with no confirmation on its Bluetooth connectivity for now. Sadly, the promo shot hasn’t highlighted any specs of the Galaxy Note 9.
However, rumours are that the device could come with a 6.4-inch QHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, an Exynos 9810 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM, and 4,000mAh battery. The phone’s dual-rear camera is likely to get a pair of 12MP sensors with LED flash and variable apertures. Samsung will reportedly start shipping the device from August 24th, in South Korea.
