University of Houston students weigh in on the midterm elections

Voting for the first time is an important rite of passage.
Editor’s note: For many students attending the University of Houston this year’s midterms are their first time heading out to vote. It’s an important rite of passage.
To get an idea of what these young people are thinking as they head to the polls we sent out intern Lillian Hoang to talk with them.
The University of Houston is roughly 25 percent white, 32 percent Hispanic, 20 percent Asian and 10 percent African American, giving us a multi-cultural snapshot of the collegiate population today.
