At its second fall event, Apple finally decided to treat the MacBook Air with an update. But that wasn’t all, the company also pulled the wraps off from the new iPad Pros and these new devices debut with some groundbreaking features. The third-gen iPad Pros have a lot to offer and thankfully it seems to score better on the utility front. Let’s take a closer look at everything new that the Apple iPad Pro duo brings to the table.
As expected, Apple has come down heavily on the bezels. The iPad Pro now comes with an almost edge-to-edge display that offers an impressive screen to body ratio. The Cupertino giant has also left no stones unturned when it comes to making the device more compact and as a result, the new iPad Pros are just 5.9mm thick. On that note, it’s worth noting that the new iPad Pros are available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch variants.
The latest Apple iPad Pros come with an updated processor. Both the variants come powered by Apple’s latest A12X Bionic chip with 8-cores. Apple claims that the new chipset is 35 percent faster and offers up to 90 percent boost when it comes to multi-core tasks. The 7nm chipset offers a whopping 10 billion transistors and can drive up to 5k resolution.
As far as internals are concerned, you can opt for as much as 1TB storage onboard.
Speaking of Type-C, the Cupertino company has made the switch from the proprietary Lightning Connector to the next-gen USB standard on the new iPad Pros. This move allows for seamless connectivity with other accessories like a secondary display, hard disk and more. That apart, the iPad Pros now come with a charge out feature which lets you juice up the iPhone from the iPad Pro.
The second-gen Apple Pencili made out of white plastic and can now magnetically attach to the new iPad Pro. Apple has also baked in a new conductive charging system which automatically charges the Apple Pencil once it is attached to the iPad Pro. Furthermore, Apple is also offering an engraving option on the accessory. Users will also be able to use Tap gestures to be able to change marking styles and adjust the thickness of the tip, for example.
The price of the 11-inch Apple iPad Pro 2018 starts at Rs 71,900, while the bigger sibling will set you back by Rs 89,900 for the base model.
