Here’s everything we have learned about the worlds of Kingdom Hearts 3 from XO18 trailer before its release on PS4, Pro and Xbox One.
Kingdom Hearts 3 took the big stage at Xbox XO18 recently to show its different worlds and gameplay. Square Enix tried to tell it before it’s official release next year through a detailed Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer.
There’s a lot new to be noticed from the new trailer so we are here to tell everything a KH3 fan should know about. One of the most interesting things is that Kingdom Hearts 3 looks almost finished so don’t expect any delays. This is because the whole trailer was actually in the English language.
Like always, there was a lot to see in the trailer, we saw Captain Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones from “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest”. They are fighting over a chest just like the orignal film. We also got a look at the evil Baymax from Big Hero 6.
One of the biggest additions to the game is the return of the 100 Acre Wood. 100 Acre Wood is one of the side missions fans have been since Kingdom Hearts. Just like in any previous KH gameplay, these will perform the same in KH3. The 100 Acre Wood in Kingdom Hearts 3 contains a lot of interesting puzzles for you to complete when playing on PS4 Pro and Xbox One.
The t railer does show us some puzzles like Bust-A-Move and more from previous Kingdom Heart games. Winnie the Pooh’s also returned with his own world and Sora will be able to interact with him by discovering his book pages.
Though Winnie the Pooh’s world will not directly impact your main storyline but will definitely play a big role outside it. In the new trailer, Sora was also seen holding the Hunny Launcher weapon which is something out of the 100 Acre Wood.
These mini-game puzzles are a big part of different worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3 and they are not going to be just limited to the 100 Acre Wood. Square Enix’s Shinji Hashimoto confirmed on the stage that there are many more including a cooking-based puzzle which is inspired by Pixar’s Ratatouille.
The Chirithy is also seen for the first time in Kingdom Hearts 3. These are special Dream eaters and made their first appearance back in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. The Chirithy are protectors and usually bound to someone so it’s yet to be seen with whom. Previously, the Chirithy has played a role of a caretaker and a mission giver so expect them to see soon in the game.
The Kingdom Hearts 3 gameplay trailer also showed Sora in a white world. The interesting part of the scene was that Sora was not alone, there were other versions of him along. It also seems like to be the same place where he’ll meet Chirithy.
About at 1:10 in the trailer, things turned pretty serious diving deep into the storylines. We saw a big battle between Sora and the entire sea of Heartless. It’s called Battle of the 1000 Heartless. This new light and dark battle will take place at Keyblade Graveyard. Sora, Donald, Goofy, Lea, Kairi, Riku, and Mickey are all confirmed to be in the scene.
Terra from Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep also made a return at the ending scenes of the trailer. Master Xehanort is also seen with his fabled χ-Blade which is going to play a big role in finishing the story of Sora.
Sleeping Lion Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts 2 is also spotted in a scene which shows many falling Keyblades. The final scene shows us True Organization 13 at top of a massive stone. Looks like Master Xehanort has finally found a team full of surprises which we will only get to know about when the game releases.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is scheduled to release on January 25,2018, for PS4, Pro and Xbox One. Also, check out the Kingdom Hearts 3 PS4 Pro Special Edition here if you are interested in getting one just for the game.
