The OnePlus 6T ‘s new colour option – the Thunder Purple ( in pictures) – is all set to go for sale across India. The handset can be purchased starting today from 2:00 pm from e-commerce site – Amazon. Those looking to buy the handset offline can head to OnePlus exclusive stores, Croma outlets and Reliance Digital outlets starting at 11 am. The company unveiled the new variant of the OnePlus 6T ( review) earlier this week. Apart from the purple paint job, the device comes with gradient design and glass matte finish on top. Other aspects of the phone are the same as the regular Matte Black and Mirror Black colour options.
The OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple has been priced in India at Rs 41,999. Unlike the phone’s other colour options, the new Thunder Purple comes with only 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard non-expandable storage. As part of the first sale, the company is giving away the device with a couple of offers — including a Rs 1,500 cashback on HDFC Bank credit and debit cards, Rs 500 in Amazon Kindle ebook credit, free damage protection, no-cost EMIs, and Jio cashback of Rs 5,400 and 3TB of complimentary data.
For the uninitiated, the OnePlus 6T comes with a couple of hardware improvements over its predecessor – OnePlus 6 ( review). The notable changes include a 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display with a water drop notch, 3,700mAh battery, an optical fingerprint scanner, and a missing 3.5mm headphone jack. Other specifications include Snapdragon 845 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB storage, dual 16MP + 20MP shooters at the back and a 20MP sensor up front. Powering the handset is Android Pie-based Oxygen OS out of the box.
