Animated sequel « The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, » starring Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks and Tiffany Haddish, opens Feb. 8,2019
What more do you want from the sequel to “The Lego Movie?” How about intergalactic space horses voiced by Tiffany Haddish? Or maybe Chris Pratt voicing a new character, Rex Dangervest, “Galaxy defending archeologist, cowboy and raptor trainer” (sounds like a quick glance at Pratt’s filmography)? We even get to see his character tickle a raptor made out of legos. We bet you didn’t see that in “Jurassic World!”
Well, “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” is stacked with all of those missing pieces. The latest trailer for the film shows Emmet blasting off into space in order to rescue Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks) after she’s captured by an invading alien named Sweet Mayhem (Stephanie Beatriz, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”).
“Emmet, did you draw stubble dots on your face,” Wyldstyle asks as Emmet tries to look tough like Dangervest.

Tiffany Haddish also joins the cast, voicing Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, who can take different forms and manages to startle Will Arnett’s Batman in the process.
“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” is produced by the original’s directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Mike Mitchell and Trisha Gum took up the directing helm from a screenplay by Lord, Miller, Matthew Fogel and “BoJack Horseman” creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg.
