My Bet: Trump Gets Congressional Approval For 'New NAFTA,' USMCA

My bet is that President Trump finds the votes he needs to get approval for the United States Mexico Canada Agreement. I’m not suggesting you run to Vegas with this information, or even to online gambling sites. And it comes with several asterisks.

The ink barely dry on the new United States Mexico Canada Agreement, my bet is that President Trump finds the votes in Congress he needs to get approval .
I’m not suggesting you run to Vegas with this information, or even to online gambling sites.
This runs counter to what a couple of friends, respected and knowledgeable « inside the beltway » types, told me they believe within the last week or so.
And, in addition to running counter to what these in-the-know friends think, I have been wrong as often as right in my predictions about the president since he first announced his campaign more than two years ago.
Top it off with the fact that President Trump, despite a buoyant economy, took a drubbing in the U. S. House, and control of the chamber returned to the Democratic Party.
(Friday, the presidents of Canada, Mexico and the United States signed the agreement in Buenos Aires during the G-20 gathering.
