According to the California Department of Health, there have been 105 deaths in Orange County in the last 14 days.
Update: The county has explained why the testing totals on its new dashboard were lower on Friday than in Thursdays report. The new dashboard is only reporting the total number of diagnostic tests that have been conducted to date. Prior to Friday, cumulative tests also included serology (antibody) tests performed. To be in alignment with how the state reports the cumulative number of tests, the county agency is now only reporting the diagnostic tests.
A serology (antibody) test does not tell a person if they are infected currently. It only tells a person if they had a previous novel coronavirus infection.
The Orange County Health Care Agency reported four new deaths as of Monday, June 29, increasing the total number of people who have died from the coronavirus to 330 in the county.
