Grab your air guitar and get ready to bang your head until you’ve got whiplash: Beavis and Butt-Head, the dopey, heavy-metal-loving cartoon teenagers who were a staple of 1990s-era MTV, are returning to television, this time at Comedy Central.
Comedy Central said on Wednesday that it had ordered two seasons of a new “Beavis and Butt-Head” series, one that will be written, produced and voiced by Mike Judge, who created the original show.
Spawned from Judge’s animated short “Frog Baseball,” “Beavis and Butt-Head” focused on its two title characters, a pair of mostly well-intentioned dimwits who shared misadventures and provided snide commentary on music videos.
