Left 4 Dead 2 is getting an update more than a decade after it was originally released. The community-made effort, called The Last Stand, even has the blessing of Valve Software.
Left 4 Dead 2 — the cooperative zombie-themed first-person shooter from Valve Software — came out in 2009. Now, more than a decade later, it’s getting a fan-made update. It’s the first piece of new content added to the game since 2012. More noteworthy is the fact that the team behind it appears to have the blessing of the Seattle-based creators.
