This year, the Olympic torch is meant to look more like the light at the end of the tunnel than a guiding path. Members of Japan’s women’s football team, led by 2011 World Cup winner Azusa Iwashimiz, kicked off the 121-day trek to Tokyo Thursday morning from Fukushima’s J-Village National Training Center, the site of the frontline operations center for the government’s response to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident in 2011.
