The sci-fi film will remain available to stream with HBO Max’s ad-free plan through November 21. « Dune » is an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s popular science fiction novel from 1965. The movie is an epic adventure following the fight to control Arrakis, a dangerous desert planet, and the highly coveted drug found there that enables interstellar travel. The A-list cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, and Jason Momoa. « Dune » is directed by Denis Villeneuve whose earlier films include « Sicario, » « Blade Runner 2049, » and « Arrival. » The movie was previously adapted into a film by director David Lynch in 1984. Critics have praised « Dune » for its spectacular visuals, and the movie currently holds an » 84% Certified Fresh » rating on review-aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. According to Insider’s Entertainment Reporter Libby Torres, who saw the movie at the New York Film Festival, » The fearless new ‘Dune’ is a must watch for diehard fans and casual viewers alike.
