Starfield’s approach to New Game+ is somewhat unique, with players able to experience the story all over again or approach it from a new perspective.
Like many of its peers, Starfield features a New Game Plus mode. However, rather than just being a repeat of the main story with new items and tougher enemies, the developers opted to do something a little different, resulting in one of the most unique and well-implemented New Game Plus modes around.
It’s definitely worth checking out, though with players able to sink hundreds of hours into the game’s side content, some may be curious to learn what exactly carries over in a New Game Plus playthrough of Starfield. Others may want to find out how to start a New Game+ run or how long one typically lasts.

Starfield’s main story is effectively an endless loop, meaning that players will automatically start a New Game Plus run after completing the game. Walking into the light at the Unity will see them reincarnated as a Starborn, at which point, they’ll be free to replay the game from the very beginning or play through an abridged version of the story that can be completed in around 90 minutes.
