WhatsApp introduced its Channels feature, reminiscent of Instagram, back in June of this year, initially launching it in select regions. Now, the Meta-owned platform is commencing a global rollout of this feature, including in India. WhatsApp asserts that Channels offer a straightforward, dependable, and private means of receiving crucial updates from individuals and organisations right within the WhatsApp platform.Channels function as a one-way broadcasting tool, enabling administrators to transmit text messages, photos, videos, stickers, and polls. To aid users in finding channels that pique their interest, the company is in the process of creating a searchable directory.
