Right-wing conspiracy theorists speculated in recent weeks that Biden had a master plan to rig the big game in exchange for Taylor Swift’s endorsement.
President Joe Biden has a message for the right-wing conspiracy theorists who were convinced he was rigging the Super Bowl in favor of Taylor Swift’s boyfriend: The plan went off without a hitch.
Shortly after the Super Bowl ended on Sunday, Biden gleefully trolled those who accused him and the Democrats of running a “Taylor Swift election interference psyop.” According to the theory, Biden orchestrated the victory of the Kansas City Chiefs, where Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce plays as a tight end, in exchange for her endorsement.
“Just like we drew it up,” the president said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday night. The post included an image of a laser-eyed Biden known online as “Dark Brandon,” a meme that purports to represent the president’s more sinister alter ego who takes no shit.
The post built on a video posted by the Biden campaign on TikTok, where the president’s campaign asked him point blank if he was “deviously plotting to rig the reason so the Chiefs would make the Super Bowl.”
“I’d get in trouble if I told you,” Biden said.
Right-wing influencers have been promoting the “Biden rigging the Super Bowl” conspiracy theory on full blast in recent weeks.
