Gamescom is open to the public today and this year’s event boasts a record number of exhibitors.
Gamescom 2024 is now officially open to the public, with thousands of visitors from around the world descending on the German city of Cologne for access to some of the biggest and most exciting games. This year’s trade fair is absolutely massive, taking up 230,000 square meters, and has set a new record when it comes to exhibitor numbers.
According to official statistics, more than 1,400 exhibitors are present at Gamescom this year, which represents an increase of roughly 15 per cent compared to the previous year. This year’s event is also home to a record number of country pavilions, with 48 from seven countries which is a new record, too.
