Maine’s Cooper Flagg, set to start his freshman year at Duke as the No. 1 men’s basketball recruit in the country this fall, is signing a major endorsement deal with New Balance.
According to ESPN, the Newport, Maine native inked a “significant shoe endorsement deal” with the Boston-based sports footwear and apparel company, which also has a factory in Flagg’s home state.
“The connection with New Balance as a family company and a company with Maine roots means a lot to me,” Flagg told ESPN. “That makes this really different and special.
