Dan Houser of Rockstar Games adds core developers Immortals of Aveum developers to his staff at Absurd Ventures, promising new IPs in the future.
Dan Houser just added developers who worked on Immortals of Aveum to his team at Absurd Ventures. Houser left Rockstar in 2020, registering Absurd Ventures on official records in June 2021. Since then, Absurd Ventures has released A Better Paradise, a fiction podcast, with an upcoming series of graphic novels called American Caper. Absurd Marin, the company’s new studio, will focus on developing video games, utilizing the expertise of the Immortals of Aveum devs.
Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser worked on some of the most acclaimed games of all time, which is why a lot of gamers are excited to see the developer build a new studio. Some of the hype surrounding Absurd Ventures is based on the hope that it can be as influential to the world of gaming as Rockstar has been and continues to be, with releases like Grand Theft Auto 6 expected to make record sales.
