LG Display’s prototype screen can stretch from 12 to 18 inches while maintaining 100 pixels per inch. It may appear in next-gen wearable devices or cars.

The panel is made of the same material used in contact lenses. LG says it’s the « world’s first stretchable display capable of expanding up to 50% », the highest elongation rate in the industry.
The prototype display features a 12-inch screen in resting mode. But if you pull on it, it can stretch to 18 inches while offering full colors and maintaining 100 pixels per inch across the surface. It can also fold and twist.
