Follow six baby boomers in Netflix’s new reality dating show The Later Daters, as they navigate the challenge of finding love late in life.
Dating at any age is a challenging endeavor, to say the least. Now imagine you’re in your fifth, sixth, or even seventh decade, are completely out of touch with the modern dating landscape, and you haven’t been in a new relationship in 10 years or more. Those are just some of the factors that complicate things for the six participants in Netflix’s new The Later Daters, the streaming giant’s umpteenth reality dating series — albeit, this one is a much more feel-good release that’s set apart by the age of everyone involved.
Think of it as The Golden Bachelor/Bachelorette, without that franchise’s annoying drama.
How it all unfolds: In the eight-episode The Later Daters, which is the #5 Netflix show in the US as of this writing, six baby boomers go on blind dates with potential partners who are around the same age. And they’re not just thrown into the deep end. Helping them navigate the challenges of modern dating, along with their children and close friends, is dating coach Logan Ury.
