The long-rumoured Black Ops 7 release date has reportedly been leaked, and it’s later than most expected
Call of Duty fans, buckle up: the long-rumoured Black Ops 7 release date has reportedly been leaked, and it’s later than most expected. According to renowned leaker TheGhostOfHope, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to launch globally on Friday, November 14, 2025.
That would make it the latest release for any CoD title in the franchise’s two-decade history, nudging right past 2020’s Black Ops Cold War, which dropped on November 13. Although this hasn’t been confirmed by Activision yet, the source, who has a well-earned reputation in the community, has correctly reported major CoD developments in the past.Activision’s big BO7 reveal is just around the corner
While fans shouldn’t fully lock in the date just yet, an official announcement is expected at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19, 2025. That’s where Activision is expected to finally pull back the curtain on this year’s entry from the Black Ops series.
We’re also expecting a cascade of accompanying announcements, such as the game’s marketing campaign, preorder bonuses, and roadmap, including details on Warzone integration and the highly anticipated Season 1 update.
