Justin Timberlake is opening up about his health, revealing that he has « debilitating » Lyme disease following weeks of speculation over his low-energy tour performances.
Justin Timberlake is shedding light on his recent health struggles. In a candid Instagram post, the singer revealed he’s been diagnosed with Lyme disease, describing the condition as “relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.”
While reflecting on the end of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, Timberlake shared his Lyme disease diagnosis in a July 31 Instagram post. The 44-year-old father of two said he felt compelled to share “what’s going on” with his health, despite being a “pretty private person.”
“Among other things, I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease — which I don’t say so you feel bad for me – but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes,” he said. “If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically. When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. »
The Mirrors singer continued, « But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.
