Meta kicks off its annual Connect conference today and there is a good chance that the new glasses (and maybe more new models) will be unveiled in the coming days.
Meta let slip that it will launch its first smart glasses with a built-in HUD by posting a video on YouTube (which has since been removed). In the video, the glasses were paired with Meta’s sEMG wristband, which is used to control the interface.
The glasses offer a fixed HUD, which is visible to the right eye only. There is no attempt to integrate the visuals into the real world – these are not AR glasses – instead the idea is to have constant access to Meta AI, messaging, navigation and more.
