It’s a loaded weekend around the area in Week 4. Here are previews of a few of the best games.No. 3 Loyola at No. 4 Brother Rice, Friday
CCL/ESCC Blue play starts with a classic North Side vs. South Side battle. Loyola (2-0) has two of the most dynamic sophomores in the state in quarterback Matthew Lee and receiver Jordan McKinley, both of whom already have Power Four offers. McKinley ran for two touchdowns from the Wildcat formation last week against St. Francis and caught two TD passes from Lee. Brother Rice (3-0) has a savvy senior quarterback in Army commit CJ Gray and one of the best defensive lines around with Illinois commit King Liggins, Brayden Parks and Kameron McGee. Another offensive weapon for the Crusaders is Jaylin Green, who ran for two scores and caught a pass for another in a win over St. Rita last week.No. 6 Downers Grove North at No. 8 Glenbard West, Saturday
Kevin Jay, playing quarterback for the first time since eighth grade, has stepped up for Downers Grove North (3-0, 1-0 West Suburban Silver) with Minnesota commit Owen Lansu sidelined by injury.
