The Issue: Negotiations between Hamas and Israel to enact President Trump’s 20-point peace plan.
Hamas agreed to release all hostages — though it could still claim it cannot find some bodies — but sidestepped key conditions, specifically the requirement that it disarms and relinquishes any political control over Gaza (“Positive step towards peace,” Oct. 7).
This evasiveness, along with Hamas demanding a guarantee that later stages of the cease-fire — with a permanent cessation of hostilities and a full Israeli withdrawal — will take place, could potentially give Hamas a chance to re-arm.
Hamas’ negotiating tactics attempt to avoid accountability while preserving its military and political power.

“To the victor belong the spoils” is true for every country except Israel.
Japan and Germany were in better shape than Hamas is in Gaza and both countries were made to surrender unconditionally.
Why are members of Hamas given a seat at the table?
They lost and their land is devastated.
Better yet, why is Israel required to release terrorists with blood on their hands?
These are hardcore individuals who will most likely return to terrorism.
