Managed security and cloud unified communications firm Masergy has announced a partnership with workflow automation company Cloudpipes in the hope of extending « cloud connectivity options » for its « global UCaaS » (unified communications as-a-service) solution.
With this, Masergy reckons that its customers can now connect over 150 cloud and SaaS applications to its platform, all via a « drap-and-drop, visual designer ».
Masergy says the resulting functions will allow its API to reach « potentially any cloud application, » listing Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Slack, Google Docs, Twitter, Hubspot, Basecamp and several other big name products, and even citing the possibility of integrating with artificial intelligence « such as IBM Watson ».
Other beneifts, the company says, include broadening computer telephony integrations (CTI) « such as screen pops » – pop-up windows that list caller information on VoIP calls – with « a greater variety of cloud applications ».
