White House communications director Mike Dubke has resigned in what is expected to be a major shake up of President Trump’s senior staff amid the growing Russia scandal.
Dubke was tasked with managing communications strategy, working closely with White House press secretary Sean Spicer.
However, according to Axios, the White House’s communications operation — and Dubke and Spicer in particular — has been under fire by Trump and other senior officials who believe the communications staff have poorly served the president, particularly in the aftermath of the firing of FBI director James B. Dubke said: « It has been my great honor to serve President Trump and this administration. It has also been my distinct pleasure to work side-by-side, day-by-day with the staff of the communications and press departments. »

A Republican consultant, Dubke joined the White House team after campaign aide Jason Miller — Trump’s original choice for communications director — withdrew from consideration. Dubke is the founder of Crossroads Media, a firm that specializes in political advertising.
Dubke’s last day on the job has not been determined but it could be as early as Tuesday when he was expected to meet with his staff at the White House.
