The Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask from Korean beauty e-tailer Glow Recipe (pictured) has sold out twice this month, but there are more ways give your skin its daily servings of fruit.
There’s nothing like a juicy slice of watermelon on a hot summer day and if you can get your hands on the in-demand Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask from K-beauty e-tailer Glow Recipe, your skin will feel the same way.
Watermelon extract has soothing and restorative effects on inflamed and irritated skin. Mix that with AHAs that gently exfoliate and refine pores, and you’ve got a winning overnight treatment that will fly off shelves.
The mask, which has a dreamy natural, not artificial, watermelon scent, quickly racked up a 5,000-person waitlist and sold out within hours after launching earlier this month and again after being restocked this week.
You can sign up to find out when the must-have mask will be back for a third time. Until then, there are plenty of other ways to give your skin its daily helping of fruit.
Korean beauty brands are always innovating with unique, naturally-derived ingredients and right now, the produce aisle appears to be a popular source.
Sarah Lee and Christine Yang of Glow Recipe also released the Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser that’s getting equally rave reviews as its sold out sister product.
The cleanser is formulated with antioxidant-rich blueberries and AHAs and effectively removes make-up and debris while hydrating and balancing skin.
Alicia Yoon, the founder of Peach & Lily, another popular online K-beauty shop, has also recently launched her own line of products: Peach Slices. In addition to sheet masks, the offerings include the Citrus-Honey Aqua Glow Moisture-Gel.
Grapefruit and orange and lemon peel oils are the star ingredients in the $12 lightweight moisturizer-serum hybrid that makes skin look instantly radiant and feel refreshed.
You’ll want to check out Frudia, a Korean beauty brand that employs the skin benefits of various fruits in every single one of its products.
The brand’s Pomegranate Nutri-Moisturizing Serum, for example, contains 64 percent pomegranate extract, which targets wrinkles and improves the skin’s moisture barrier for a more youthful-looking complexion.
Kocostar’s slice masks – essentially sheet masks cut into rounds that look like the same fruit that tops the ingredient list – are earning hype thanks to their Instagram-worthy appearance.
Other fruits you’ll find in the K-beauty aisle are strawberry – it’s mixed with sugar to exfoliate skin in the Goodal Strawberry Honey Pack – and apple – it adds a calming element to Ipkn’s Big Apple Sun Cream SPF 50.
