After eight years of marriage, actors Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced on Sunday night that they are “legally separating.”
The two took to social media to announce the news, with Pratt writing “Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’ re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.” Faris posted a screenshot of a similar statement on her twitter.
According to PEOPLE, there had been specualtion the couple was on rocky terms. Within the past year, both were seen without their wedding rings. PEOPLE also claims a source close to the couple said the being apart while Pratt was traveling for work took a toll on Faris.
The two met in 2007 and married in the summer of 2009.
Heartbreak must be in the air.
Actress Amber Heard and Tesla CEO Elon Musk have called it quits after a few months of dating. According to Us Weekly, a source close to the couple said the pair’s schedules strained the relationship.
“The timing wasn’ t good for them, ” the source said. “He’s super busy and works all the time. Amber is filming [Aquaman] in Australia until October. She’s in no position to settle with him. She feels her career is just starting.”
The couple was rumored to be linked last summer after being spotted vactioning in South Beach and London. However, Heard and Musk did not officially confirm their romance until April of this year, via Instagram of course.
