The Georgia Department of Transportation says they’ re anticipating the four times the amount of traffic metro Atlanta is normally used to. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes for commuting purposes because of the traffic congestion.
People are warned not to pass through barricades on roadways. If a road is closed off, it’s closed off for a reason.
GDOT says if you see standing water, don’ t take any changes. Your vehicle may not make it through. It may appear to be shallow, but do not risk your safety because looks can be deceiving.
