Our dry stretch is ending with showers in the forecast from Nate.
WASHINGTON (WUSA) – Our rain-free streak is over! The last measurable rain at Reagan National was on September 13th when we received.04″…the last meaningful rain was on September 6th when .55″ was measured in the gauge. Our streak of rainless days was 24 days through Saturday. This was the 10th longest streak in the record books for Washington. The reason why we are finally receiving showers? Tropical moisture is streaming in ahead of Nate. Throughout Sunday, there will be showers around, especially northwest of town. The main chance for rain and showers will be on Monday morning as the remnants of Nate pass closest to our area, bringing a soggy start to the day. Tuesday looks to be mostly dry before another chance for rain returns midweek. Here is the latest on Nate.
