Sanders was asked by a reporter whether Trump had, “reached a decision on whether to recertify Iran or not?”
“The president has reached a decision on an overall Iran strategy, [he] wants to make sure that we have a broad policy to deal with that, not just one part of it, as i said last week, to deal with all of the problems of Iran being a bad actor. Beyond that I don’t have anything else to add,” Sanders responded.
“Would you like to see Congress do away with the 90 day recurring certification?,” the reporter also asked, to which Sanders said, “I’ll let the President speak to that later this week.”
In an interview aired Sunday, Trump said he was “very unhappy” with the Iran deal reached by Obama, and promised that Iran will be “taken care of as a bad player.” (RELATED: Trump: ‘Bad Player’ Iran Is ‘Going To Be Taken Care Of’ [VIDEO])
