Victim of fatal St. Lucie West crash identified

Gracimise Exavier, 80 of Port St. Lucie, was the only fatality after her car was hit by another while making a left turn.
ST. LUCIE WEST — Police identified the woman who died Tuesday evening in a crash on St. Lucie West Boulevard.
Eighty-year-old Gracimise Exavier, of Port St. Lucie, who was in the front passenger seat, was the only fatality after the car she was in was hit by another while making a left turn, according to a statement from the Port St. Lucie police.
Exavier was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the statement.
Both vehicles were traveling on St. Lucie West Boulevard in opposite directions, according to the statement. Exavier’s vehicle, which was being driven by Joseph Cineus, 49, of Port St. Lucie, was making a left turn on Southwest California Boulevard when it was struck.
The second car, driven by Kimberly Elkert, 52, of Port St. Lucie, was traveling east on St. Lucie West Boulevard when it collided with the passenger door of the turning vehicle, according to the statement.
Agelay Chery, an 8-year-old Port St. Lucie girl in the same vehicle with Exavier, was airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie Police spokesman Master Sgt. Frank Sabol said. Her injuries were not life-threatening, Sabol added.
Larah Gerard, who is related to Agelay, was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute with non life-threatening injuries, Sabol said.
Both drivers and the passenger of the second vehicle — 25-year-old Tyler Bostonof Port St. Lucie — were taken to local hospitals, according to the statement.
Port St. Lucie Police are still investigating the crash, according to the statement.
