As expected the OnePlus 5 has now received the much awaited OnePlus 5 beta update. The update weighs massive at 1.6GB and is arriving with a version OP5_O2_Open_3. This new update will arrive as OTA only to the smartphones running on Beta update already
OnePlus has launched its OnePlus 5T smartphone a few weeks back and recently they have confirmed that the exclusive Face Recognition feature will be arriving soon for other OnePlus devices as well.
Today we are back with some cool information which will make all OnePlus 5 users happy, OnePlus has finally announced a new update for the device which brings the rapid Face Recognition feature to the OnePlus 5 smartphone, so let’s know more about this new update.
Firstly let me tell you that this is not the final build and it is under development phase, the software is known as the Open Beta 3 update. In case you don’t know a few days back, OnePlus has officially released the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the OnePlus 5 device, and this new update will arrive as OTA only to the smartphones running on Beta update already. For those who are on final builds, manual installation is the only method available.
This new update weighs massive at 1.6GB and is arriving with a version OP5_O2_Open_3. This update is based on the Android Oreo update, so you all have to wait for the Android Oreo 8.1 to arrive in near future. It comes with some improvements including the new December security patch, Face Recognition, Recording app’s shortcut on the home screen, Wi-Fi fixes, etc.
Nothing impressive is there in the update as its been only a week since the Oreo update has arrived. OnePlus 5 is still one of the best smartphones as it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with optional 6GB/8GB of RAM and for storage, it offers optional 64GB/128GB of ROM.
