GOP Senate Candidate Martha McSally's Response to 'Trained Singer'

Rep. Martha McSally, one of the GOP Senate candidates in Arizona, provided an interesting response to a reporter when asked if she was a trained singer.
The question was raised when it was learned she will be singing the national anthem for the Phoenix Suns vs. the Indiana Pacers game Sunday. McSally, a U. S. Air Force veteran, admitted she is not a trained singer, but rather she is “a trained killer.”
Reporter’s notebook: After hearing that Arizona GOP Senate candidate Martha McSally, an ex fighter pilot, was singing the national anthem for the Suns this weekend, I asked if she was a trained singer. “No, I’m a trained killer,” she told me.

After McSally graduated from the U. S. Air Force Academy, she trained to fly the infantry-favorite A-10 Warthog and flew her first combat mission to Iraq in 1995. During her deployment, she flew almost 100 combat hours in support of Operation Southern Watch in the Middle East.
At the end of her 22-year service, McSally logged almost 325 combat hours.
