Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan laid to rest at funeral

The beloved musician was found dead last week. She was 46.
A funeral service for Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan was held Tuesday in her native Ireland, a little over a week after she was found dead in London.
The memorial service took place in O’Riordan’s hometown of Ballybricken, Limerick, where the late singer’s family and ex-Cranberries bandmates gathered to say goodbye.
O’Riordan had previously sang as a choir member at St. Ailbe’s Church, where the funeral was held, according to TMZ. A public visitation for the beloved singer also took place Sunday in Ireland so fans could pay tribute.
A cause of death has not yet been revealed for O’Riordan, whose body was discovered in her hotel room last Monday. British police have said her death is not considered suspicious.

The death of O’Riordan, who was 46, led to an outpour of condolences from fans, figures within the industry and the surviving members of her former band.
« We are devastated on the passing of our friend Dolores. She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to have been part of her life from 1989 when we started the Cranberries. The world has lost a true artist today, » Fergal Lawler, Mike Hogan and Noel Hogan of The Cranberries said in a statement posted to Twitter.
Meanwhile, O’Riordan’s boyfriend Olé Koretskym — who had been in another band, D. A. R. K., with O’Riordan before her death — said his heart is broken « beyond repair. »
« Dolores is beautiful. Her art is beautiful. Her family is beautiful. The energy she continues to radiate is undeniable, » Koretsky said in a statement posted to the band’s website. « I am lost. I miss her so much. I will continue to stumble around this planet for some time knowing well there’s no real place for me here now. »
