Vivo is all set to unveil the V9 smartphone in Thailand on March 22nd and in India on March 23rd. Ahead of the unveiling, the phone’s alleged press renders and core details had been leaked. Now, the Vivo V9 has been spotted on the company’s e-commerce portal in India. At the moment, the phone’s status on the brand’s website is mentioned as “unavailable”, but the listing has revealed the entire specifications and design of the upcoming smartphone.
The photos on the vendor’s website suggest that the Vivo V9 will feature a notch above the screen, which will be home to the front camera, earpiece and other sensors. The phone has almost non-existent bezels on the sides and a slim chin at the bottom. The listing reveals that the handset will offer a 6.3-inch full HD+ IPS display with a tall aspect ratio of 19:9, and will boot Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0. The device will also get a face unlock feature and Smart Split 3.0 multi-tasking. A fingerprint sensor will also be present at the rear of the phone.
Moving on to the other specs, the brand’s website indicates that the Vivo V9 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, aided by 4GB of RAM. The phone will come with 64GB of storage, further expandable up to 256GB. At the rear, the device will feature a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup, while there’s a 24MP selfie snapper at the front. The smartphone’s camera app will also come with options like AR Stickers, Smart Motion, AI Face Beauty and more. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. A 3,260mAh battery will keep the device running.
Last but not the least, the listing suggests that the Vivo V9 will be available in black and gold hues at launch time. There’s no word regarding its pricing and availability details at the moment, and those should be available on March 23rd when the phone is officially launched.
