“The LG Q7 ThinQ is speculated to come with an industry-leading camera featuring an aperture of f/1.4”
Much has already been leaked about LG’s upcoming G7 ThinQ flagship, which is one of the much-anticipated smartphones of the year. Recently, the device was spotted on the company’s website, and it was also leaked through some CAD-based 3D renders and a promotional poster. Now, a couple of new case renders of the purported LG G7 ThinQ have also popped on the interwebs, which give us yet another look at the upcoming flagship LG smartphone.
In the latest leaked case renders, we can see the alleged LG G7 ThinQ draped in two different cases – red and pink, both of which are dual layer rugged hybrid cases. The design of the phone in the latest leaked renders is in line with the earlier leaked images. In the case renders, the fascia of the handset is visible, which appears to sport a tall display with the cutout on top and a slim chin. At the rear panel, we can see a dual-camera module with a fingerprint scanner placed below it. The dual-camera setup is also accompanied by an LED flash and a laser autofocus sensor.
Apart from the volume rockers and the power key, the LG G7 ThinQ also appears to have a third hardware key on the right side, which is expected to be used to trigger the brand’s upcoming AI-based assistant. Furthermore, the photos suggest that the brand is retaining the 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port on the upcoming flagship.
As far as the specs are concerned, the LG G7 ThinQ is speculated to come with a 6.1-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, the phone is expected to have the top-tier Snapdragon 845 SoC, accompanied by 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. In the optics department, the device is tipped to get a pair of 16-megapixel shooters on the back. One of the rear camera sensors of the phone is expected to flaunt an industry-best f/1.4 aperture. As for selfies and video calling, the smartphone is rumoured to come with an 8-megapixel camera. A 3,000mAh battery with fast charging is expected to power the whole show.
Coming to the launch, earlier this week, LG confirmed that it will be unveiling the G7 ThinQ at an event in New York on May 2nd. The company has announced that the next-gen G series phone will flaunt an advanced AI integration. A recent report suggested that the flagship could be priced at around 9,99,800 won (~$900 / Rs 61,000). We should have the official details regarding the G7 ThinQ’s pricing and availability next month, so stay tuned.
