The 63-year-old man’s death is the fourth time this month that a bicyclist has been hit and killed by a vehicle in the Houston area.
The man was heading south on Buford when a woman struck him in the 6300 block of Griggs around 8:50 p.m. on April 25. Police said that the man failed to yield the right of way to the driver.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition on Wednesday and died Sunday, police said. His identity is pending verification by medical officials.
The driver, who has been identified as 22-year-old Jacqueline Cruz, stayed at the scene. She was later charged with driving while intoxicated. Testing determined she was under the influence of a narcotic, police said.
The crash on Griggs came one day after a woman was hit and killed by a dump truck near Rice University.
