After leaving Google, for the past three and a half years, Hugo Barra has been Xiaomi’s International Vice President, spearheading the company’s expansion of its smartphone business globally. It was announced earlier this week that he would be leaving Xiaomi and it now appears that his new home has been revealed.

The news came from Facebook Chairman and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, who let the world know through his social media network that Barra would be joining Facebook and oversee the virtual reality component of the company.
