Customers that are getting whole unit repairs of their fourth-generation iPad may be in for a surprise when they are handed a replacement iPad Air 2. Due to dwindling stocks, the change has been made.
It has been quite a few years since the release of the fourth-generation iPad. It now appears that customers who require whole unit repairs are being upgraded to the iPad Air 2.
According to the folks at 9to5Mac, Apple and other authorized technicians will be able to provide the iPad Air 2 as a valid replacement for those bringing in iPad 4th generation for service.
