Like some Senate Republicans, Seth Meyers is not in favor of the GOP’s Obamacare replacement bill, which was unveiled Thursday.
Meyers had a problem with the way the piece of legislation was drafted, which he described as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell «basically writing it by himself behind closed doors.»
Meyers also wasn’t here for McConnell’s evasive answer when asked by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer if the bill would be available at least 10 hours before being voted on to allow for adequate time to make amendments.
“I think we’ ll have ample opportunity to read and amend the bill, ” McConnell answered in a clip.
“’I think we’ ll have ample opportunity to read and amend the bill’ is the longest euphemism I’ ve ever heard for ‘Go (expletive) yourself, ‘” Meyers cracked.
