June 8 (Reuters) — Sweden’s Artemis Racing took a 4-3 lead in their America’s Cup semi-final against SoftBank Team Japan on Thursday, with three wins in a row in the first-to-five contest in Bermuda.
In a thrilling last race of the day, Sweden managed to come from behind, forcing a penalty on the Japan crew near the end of the course on Bermuda’s Great Sound.
Earlier, Britain’s Land Rover BAR were knocked out of the event by a dominant Emirates Team New Zealand which now progress to the America’s Cup challenger play-offs this weekend.
