'SNL, ' 'Westworld' lead Emmy Award nominations with 22 each

NBC’s resurgent «Saturday Night Live» and HBO’s «Westworld» topped the list with 22 Emmy Award nominations, which were announced Thursday morning, July 13.
NBC’s resurgent «Saturday Night Live» and HBO’s «Westworld» topped the list with 22 Emmy Award nominations, which were announced Thursday morning, July 13.
Both programs were nominated for 22 awards each by the Television Academy. This year’s awards cover programs that aired between June 1,2016 and May 31,2007, according to the news release from the academy.
In what is becoming a more interesting factoid by the year, the Emmy’s report that HBO led all platforms with 110 nominations, Netflix in a comfortable second with 91 and NBC in third with 60.
The Emmy’s air 8 p.m. Sept. 17 on CBS, and are hosted by Stephen Colbert. See below for a list of some key nominations:
