A Filipino in Barra, Macau rescued two Chinese nationals from a perilous flood during the onset of Typhoon Hato. As seen on Jun Veneracion’s report for Balitanghali on Sunday, an anxious Jhunnafe Mijares was able to film her husband Loreto’s life-risking endeavor in the middle of the maximum category 10 storm that hit Macau and Hong Kong a week before. The first Chinese citizen was seen submerged up to the neck, struggling against the furious winds and the strong current. Loreto got on top of a car and got her out of the water using a life preserver. They were surrounded by large wooden debris, drifting rapidly over the raging waters.
