It’s every parent’s worst nightmare.
John Michie is heartbroken following the death of his 25-year-old daughter Louella Michie at Bestival music festival in Dorset, United Kingdom. He told The Sun the family had lost an «angel, » maintaining that she was not murdered.
«We’ve lost our angel. It’s not murder — they were friends. It was just a tragic mistake, a tragic accident, » the «Holby City» star said.
«This was not a murder. She touched so many lives. She was so very positive, so bright, so out there. She had such energy. The tributes to her have been incredible.»
The Sun reported that Michie, 60, and his wife Carol received a panicked call along with a WhatsApp map leading to their daughter’s body. The couple rushed to the festival grounds, 130 miles from their home in North London, according to the outlet.
Security staff reportedly wouldn’t let them in until after the body was found.
Although the Michie family is not convinced the young model was murdered, a statement from Dorset Police confirms that a 28-year-old London man has been arrested in connection with her death.
Police said the arrest was made «to enable officers to conduct an interview under caution to help establish the full circumstances.»

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Derbyshire said in the statement a thorough investigation into the Bestival death. She added that «specially trained officers» had been assigned to support the victim’s family.
Dorset Police say the body showed no visible signs of assault.
«Inquiries are now under way to establish how she died. A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course and this should give us more of an indication as to the cause of her death, » Derbyshire said.
«We are working closely with the festival organizers and I would appear to anyone with any information about the incident to contact Dorset Police.»
Bestival released a separate statement claiming that the team is «devastated» by the news of Louella’s death and will continue to work with police.
«Following the announcement, the team at Bestival are devastated to hear about this tragic news. We continue to support the police in their ongoing investigation and our thoughts and prayers are with all the woman’s family and friends, » the statement read.
